Tokaj gin packaging

Seven Hills Distillery is a small gin and whisky handcraft distillery in Tokaj-Hegyalja, where they make their premium small series spirits in a wonderful natural environment. Their first commercial product is Tokaj gin, available from the end of 2020.

The Tokaj wine region is the first closed wine region in the world, and its world-famous wine is aszu. Making gin in this area is completely new. In addition to perfectly following the classic gin-making process, Tokaj Gin also wants to prioritize local values, which is why one of the spices used in the gin is the famous local aszu grape. The connection was illustrated on the packaging with a fingerprint-like landscape graphic in a geometric manner. The design depicts the Tokaj wine region as a graphic that is inspired by the classical etchings, but has its own rhythm and movement. During the design, we experimented a lot with the sizes and the density of the spots, so that the lens effect is as perfect as possible. The illustration is screen-printed directly onto the surface of the glass, resulting in a playful distortion through the clear drink.
